Wild Ones Central Alabama Chapter

Welcome to Wild Ones Central Alabama Chapter!

Wild Ones promotes environmentally friendly landscaping to preserve biodiversity through the preservation, restoration, and establishment of native plant communities across the United States.

Wild Ones chapters are a space where like-minded people gather to support each other in learning about landscaping with native plants and to share with others in their communities and networks about why it’s important to reintroduce native plants into public and private gardens and how to go about doing it. Chapters are where change happens.

Alabama is a richly biodiverse state for which we Alabamians are so fortunate. Wild Ones Central Alabama Seedling Chapter is dedicated to promoting and encouraging that biodiversity by educating members and the community about native plants (identification and propagation), invasive plants (identification and removal), and using native plants in the landscape; by promoting and sharing plant materials of local provenance; and, by volunteer efforts to support the mission of Wild Ones. We look forward to partnering with local and regional organizations that share our vision and objectives. The time for action is now! The place – your backyard, favorite parks, community and municipality.

Join us in this adventure as we learn and grow together!
